“How to Adjust an Inaccurate Electronic Scale: ‘Dry Goods’ Insights and 6 Practical Tips for Lifelong Application”

1. Verify Battery Charge
Examine whether the battery of the electronic scale is adequately charged. Promptly replace the battery if it is depleted, as insufficient battery power can result in inaccurate display. In practical scenarios, approximately 60% of electronic scale issues stem from inability to power on or low battery levels. When the battery is low, the electronic scale may respond sluggishly or provide inaccurate readings. Hence, it is imperative to replace the battery promptly (and only utilize high-quality batteries as stipulated). However, if the electronic scale remains unused for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage that could potentially damage the scale.

2. Ensure Correct Placement
The electronic scale should be horizontally positioned on the floor. If one side of the scale is higher than the other or if it has an angle relative to the horizontal plane, inaccurate weighing will ensue. Before leaving the factory, the electronic scale is calibrated on a horizontal platform. When utilized on an uneven or non-horizontal surface by the customer, inaccurate weighing occurs. It is advisable to use the scale on a relatively flat or horizontal surface and recalibrate at this location to circumvent weighing inaccuracies due to an uneven surface. Additionally, during usage, position the scale on a flat and solid ground with no obstructions beneath.

3. Confirm Correct Standing Posture During Weighing
Verify the correctness of your standing posture during weighing. It is requisite to stand upright with both feet on the electronic scale, avoiding body swaying from side to side. Weighing with a single foot or in a squatting position is prohibited, as this will also lead to inaccurate measurements.

4. Take Multiple Weighings and Calculate the Average
When weighing, it is optimal to conduct multiple measurements and calculate the average. This approach yields more accurate weight results.

5. Ascertain if the Weight Exceeds the Maximum Capacity
Be vigilant when weighing that the weight does not surpass the maximum capacity of the electronic scale. Exceeding the maximum range will undoubtedly lead to inaccurate weighing. Moreover, overloading may cause permanent deformation of the elastic component, inflicting fatal damage to the electronic scale.

6. Verify the Absence of Radiation Interference in the Vicinity
It is recommended to avoid using the electronic scale in close proximity to electronic devices such as computers, televisions, radios, or mobile phones. The radiation from these devices can compromise the precision of the electronic scale. Any electronic scale is susceptible to radiation interference to varying degrees. The electronic scale can receive interference signals from up to 5 meters away. Consequently, refrain from making mobile phone calls or using cordless phones within a 3-meter radius of the electronic scale's operating area.

It is also feasible to employ another precise electronic scale for weighing and compare the averages. If the disparity between the two is significant, it indicates that there is an internal issue with the scale rather than a simple operational error. In such cases, seek repair services from the after-sales department. Electronic scales being electronic products, circuit-related problems are beyond the remediation capabilities of ordinary users.
